MCL-T torso phantom

The MCL-T whole-body phantom is based on the same dataset of human dimensions that was used to construct the SAM head. The shell is 3 ± 0.3 mm thickness GRP. It is made using the same moulds as our whole body phantoms, but is intended specifically for SAR-testing using an external robot. To allow this, the torso phantom has openings in its back to allow a SAR probe to enter.

A CAD file describing the phantom's shape is also available, and this can be imported into computational models or into SAR measurement systems. As an example, the MCL-T torso phantom has been integrated with, and is fully-compatible with, a SPEAG DASY 4 SAR measurement system.
